Vast experience practicing patent and trademark law and managing strategic IP portfolios for diverse US and international clients. Founder of www.iplegaled.com, the No.1 IP paralegal training course in the US. Passionate about education, the environment and creating a better tomorrow for our children. Active in pro bono work with veterans associations including Bunker Labs and ActionZone.
Matthew Kaser Ph.D.
Passionately enthusiastic about science, and bringing that enthusiasm to the most complex areas of patent law, Matthew holds a doctorate in Biochemistry from the University of Oxford and a B.Sc. and M.Sc. from the University of Wales. His impressive academic experience includes post-doctoral positions at the University of California, the University of Texas, a post-doctoral fellowship in Molecular Endocrinology at the REI Harbor-UCLA Medical Center and a faculty position at the UCSF Department of Pediatrics. Matthew worked at Incyte Genomics in Palo Alto, and then as Director of IP at Mendel Biotechnology and is registered to practice before the USPTO. Matthew is an author of many papers and books on immunology. He is an ardent amateur anthropologist with a particular interest in the development of language.
Gregory Scott Smith
Of Counsel. Highly respected patent attorney with 30 years experience providing patent expertise for large corporations, including IBM, Samsung, and Atheros Communications (Qualcomm), and for scientists and engineers in technical areas including but not limited to nanotechnology, medical devices, mechanical arts, chemistry, data storage technologies, biotechnology, agricultural technologies, integrated circuit devices, and manufacturing processes. Additional expertise includes over 10 years experience providing strategic guidance to companies and inventors in the areas of patents, trademarks, joint development agreements, and technology licensing. Phil Wagner
Of Counsel. 20 years experience of patent preparation and prosecution. Further technical experience with microprocessor, microcontroller, communications, A/D, D/A, I/O, and flat panel display components and systems. B.S.
